Two spellings appear in the sources we consulted. A triangular fire pit has three corners where ash collects, so the practical handling differs from a square or round vessel. Separately, the Śulba-tradition altar called Praugaciti is described by Sundareswaran as an isosceles triangle; it is a different, documented altar (see its page).
